Carrera alternator R&R one step at a time. (12 of 23)

Separate the alternator from the fan housing. Two 2x4s are used in this picture. I put a rag under the shaft to prevent damage to the threads. Gentle tapping on the 2x4s will usually make the alternator drop out.
